About Tibbs
Tibbs graduated from the University of West of Scotland with a degree in computer security. He has since relocated to Portland, OR, where he evangelizes for privacy and security while guaranteeing Open Source Software is properly licensed and attributed as an Open Source Software Compliance reviewer at a large blue chip company. He is passionate about creating opportunities for diversity in the InfoSec community, teaching InfoSec best practices to average computer users, encouraging small children to learn more about STEM topics and about laughing at cats on the internet. Recently, Tibbs has assisted Intel in a number of projects pertaining to inclusivity and accessibility for LGBTQ+ and disabled users in his role as chair of the Code of Conduct Committee.
When not at the office, volunteering or otherwise in front of a screen, he can be found reading, playing the shamisen, practicing archery, or arguing the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.
